Everyone is lamenting summer’s end, but I think they’re jumping the gun. Yes, I am not going back to school and I don’t have little ones to buy school supplies for (yet), but it is still HAWT outside and there are tomatoes galore. That, in my book, counts as summer. We can all properly mourn the end of summer after Labor Day.
For now, enjoy those tomato & ricotta sandwiches (with fresh oregano, thyme, and plenty of sea salt & olive oil) on your stoops.
