Life recently.

We’ve had a warm house full of family the past two weeks, being spoiled with home cooked meals and lots of help with Lane. There are some serious bags under my eyes and we are still searching for our rhythm on several things. Postpartum life and recovery is no joke. However, I’m finally feeling a little like my old self again. I wore earrings and some makeup for the first time in forever today, we went out to lunch, and Lane kicked his check up’s butt so we took this photo to celebrate.

Here are a few things I’ve been reading in the wee hours of the night:

The best oven fries, baked pumpkin & sour cream puddings, & Thanksgiving ideas from Deb. And a tasty lunch/football watching snack: buffalo chicken sandwiches.

A TED talk on the case for U.S. paid maternity leave. Dang. Some incredibly shocking statistics in this video.

Meal planning tips. I always feel such a sense of adultness when I have the ingredients for dinner already. Should step my meal planning game up!

Beautiful photography of Yosemite. Gosh, I gotta get there someday.

A game changer for chocolate chip cookies! I made these this week and seriously can’t believe they don’t have butter or eggs. I let the dough chill for 24 hours before baking. A really fantastic cookie.

What a poignant and true statement: “Some things in life cannot be fixed. They can only be carried.” Read on for the full article.

Dreamy floors.

So excited to see this movie.

If you’re looking to get out of town for a while and work somewhere new: Workaway!

Hope everyone is having a great start to their week xo.
